The Peabodys may seem like a recent entry into the Kansas City music
scene, but the group has been rocking audiences around town since
2004. If they have been overlooked by the local music publications it
is of little concern to the 6 person group from parts near and far.
Rather than chasing press coverage, they have spent their energy
honing their craft and developing into a first rate Rock *n Roll outfit
with a repertoire that zigzags back and forth across Rock genres with
reckless abandon and universal appeal.
Comprised of veteran musicians with diverse backgrounds, The
Peabodys serve up an eclectic mix of Rock that draws from Chuck
Berry, Wilson Pickett, The Beatles, Ike & Tina Turner, ZZ Top, Led
Zeppelin, Elvis Costello, Stevie Ray Vaughan, REM, Sheryl Crow and
almost everyone in between. The Peabodys have consistently
surprised skeptics and left audiences wanting more. Their reputation
has been built upon tight delivery of classic music and their ability to
fill a dance floor and keep it grooving all night long.
"The Peabodys were the perfect end to a great convention. I'm so
happy that everything worked out so the band could accept our
invitation to perform. I wouldn't have believed it if someone would
have told me so many of our members would have danced and
stayed the entire evening ... take if from me that in itself is a huge
compliment to the band.
You were awesome ... one of our convention committee members
asked if y'all would like to be put on retainer for future conventions.
